<description>I am trying to push legislation in Arizona for protection of cyclists seriously injured or killed. I read some time ago that Oregon did pass a law protecting cyclists and allowing prosecution for negligence by motor vechicles when this happens but I can&#039;t find any information on this Bill or Law.

Can you please email me any information you have regarding whether this did happen in Oregon and if so, what the text of the new law is.

We have had a horrible increasing trend of serious accidents and deaths here in Arizona. We do have a 3 feet safe passage Law but it is never enforced. It is time to put teeth into protecting cyclists and we are preparing a State wide Rally that will &quot;Ride on the Capitol&quot; with new legislation. Any information you can share on what you guys got passed up north would be great.

Thank you so much!
